Whip-poor-will Night

There are few reliable places in Berks County to hear the hair-raising calls of the Eastern whip-poor-will, and we’ll be making a trip in May to State Game Land 110 to hear and maybe see this local rarity. We’ll also have a pretty good chance of seeing common nighthawks. The walk up to the top of the ridge will also feature warblers calling just before they get quiet for the night. We leave at 6:15 PM from this parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UK6vvvsWSo1QiHuL7
Some of us might be there earlier to check out warblers along the Spring Trail.
